Biography

Hello, Sumner Tigers and Sumner Community! This is my 13th year as an English, French, and Multilingual Learner (MLL) Language Arts instructor, and my 10th year here at Sumner Memorial High School. I previously taught in Pennsylvania and Mississippi before moving to Maine in 2016. I am a linguist at heart and have an immense passion for diverse cultures. I love to travel, read, hike and spend time (especially outdoors!) with my family, pets and friends. I wear multiple 'hats' at Sumner, including serving on the NEASC and PBIS Teams, as a mentor teacher, and as a National Honor Society advisor. Above all, the focus of my teaching philosophy remains to help students learn and grow!
