Originally from Texas, Shannon graduated from Schreiner University with a B.A. in English in 2012. She then moved to New Mexico and taught high school ELA while earning an M.A. in Secondary Education in 2017. In 2019, Shannon moved to the lovely state of Maine where she earned a second B.A. in Psychology in 2020. She began teaching at the Charles M. Sumner Learning Camps in 2022, while completing her second M.A. in English in August 2023. She speaks fluent sarcasm, enjoys pranking her partner in crime, and loves Aroma Joe's, cats, and snacks.
