Nicole Ouellette is originally from Windsor Locks, Connecticut. She was a very active member of a veterinary science 4-H club and was a member of the National FFA Organization while attending an agricultural science program in high school. After earning her associates degree from a community college in Connecticut, she transferred to the University of Maine at Machias and received her bachelor's in Environmental Studies with a minor in Secondary Education. This will be Nicole's 7th year at Sumner and she has taught many of the science classes we offer in the high school, including AP Biology and Anatomy & Physiology. She is part of the RISE Center STEM Teacher Corps. She is currently working towards her master's degree in Curriculum Design and Instruction from UMaine.
