Biography
Michael Orcutt is a Physical Science teacher with a diverse background in science, mathematics,
engineering, and technology education. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Electronics from
Thomas Edison State University and completed the U.S. Navy Nuclear Power Program, where
he served as an electrical operator and instructor. Before entering public education, Mr. Orcutt
taught nuclear engineering principles and electrical systems to Navy personnel, combining
technical expertise with a passion for instruction. Throughout his educational career, he has
taught a broad range of mathematics, science, and technology courses, coached varsity track and
field, and advised robotics and mathematics teams. His professional experience provides students
with a practical perspective on the connections between science, engineering, and real-world
problem solving. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling with his wife and spending time with his
four grandchildren.
